Hyon Lim is a cofounder and CEO of UVify, an aerial robot manufacturer headquartered in Seattle, Washington USA with R&D and manufacturing operations in Seoul, South Korea. Hyon’s specialties range from computer vision to aeronautical engineering. He co-founded UVify in 2017 together with Dr. Chulwoo Park.

Hyon has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University, and his research has been cited in more 900 publications. He was a visiting researcher at Australia National University, Canberra where he worked on a drone control project. In addition, Hyon also did numerous stints at Microsoft Research working on computer vision and UAVs at before starting UVify.

For the past few years, Hyon has been focusing on advancing the state of aerial robotics through his role at UVify and actively contributing to the PX4 ecosystem.
